Supported by the “National Torch Program” funded by the Ministry of Science and Technology of China, T.K Medical carried out "The Industrialization of Specimen Retriever Bags for Minimally Invasive Surgery". The achievement of the project, Specimen Retriever Bags for minimally invasive surgery, was awarded the "National Key New Product Certificate" jointly issued by the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Commerce, the General Administration of Quality Supervision and the State Environmental Protection Administration. In addition,T.K Medical has actively carried out research and development of international cooperation projects with domestic and foreign partners, including Guangdong Institute of Materials and Processing, Birmingham University, etc., in the field of minimally invasive surgical instruments. T.K Medical implements intellectual property strategy and works closely with clinicians. T.K Medical has applied more than 700 patents at home and abroad, including more than 400 granted patents.

The development of T.K Medical receives strong support from the government. In 2005,Wen Jiabao, the former Chinese Premier, Zhang Dejiang, the former Party Secretary of Guangdong Province of the (Communist Party of China) CPC, and Chen Zhili ,the former State Councilor, had visited T.K Medical because of its innovation capability.  In the past 16 years, T.K Medical has adhered to the tenet of "Human-oriented; Develop safer, more effective and more convenient medical device, to benefit the human health with the innovation and development of science and technology".
